During your scar therapy initial assessment, you can expect:

• Discussion about your scar, symptoms, and recovery journey  

• Assessment of your scar by a pelvic health physiotherapist to check mobility, sensitivity, and function                                           

• Personalised treatment plan developed with your physiotherapist to target problem areas     

• Introduction to assisted scar massage to improve healing, comfort, and movement          

• Home exercise programme tailored to support progress between sessions

If you’d like a chaperone present, please contact us at least 48 hours before your appointment. Alternatively, we can perform a comprehensive external assessment to guide your treatment effectively.

Our team is here to support you with compassion, expertise, and personalised care.

These appointments are for patients who have already undergone an initial assessment with the same physiotherapist within the past six months for the same condition.

This session allows us to review your progress since your initial assessment and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan to better address your symptoms.

Your exercise program will also be updated, with a consistent focus on reviewing and refining your treatment goals to ensure optimal outcomes.
